Emma Tringali & the Walk-Ins grew from the foothills of Brewster, NY in early 2008 by Kevin Thomas and Emma Tringali, but they have gathered a family of musicians along the way through various performances in the New York City area in places like The Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, and Kenny's Castaways. The sound is like taking off your socks at the end of the day, or having a laugh from the belly- it is truth in it's simplest form.
The aim of this group's formation is to project understanding, both introverted and extroverted inspiration and most importantly, musical healing for when things go wrong. The inspiration for this music doesn't stray much further from that. Warm vibrations, everyday magic, and pure happenstance fuel this fire. Through an uncanny mix of sound, it is possible to create a world as far away or as close to home as you prefer. Have a listen.
As of November 2009, the band has entered post-production on their upcoming full length album entitled "A Red Thumb Rant", and is finishing up artwork for the booklet. A free track or two will be available soon on our free track list so keep checking back. The record will hit store shelves this winter.
